StratoChem Services was established in 1989 to provide
geochemical services to the petroleum industry in Egypt and the
Middle East. At present, there are eighteen full time employees,
including ten Geologists/Geochemists, three Lab Technicians, three
Administration Staff, and two Assisting Staff. Our laboratory
in Cairo is equipped to perform a wide range of analyses, including
gas compositional analysis, total organic carbon (TOC) determination,
Rock Eval pyrolysis, liquid chromatography, detailed C4-C7 gas
chromatography and gas chromatography for whole oil or saturate
fractions. Further details of the analyses
we provide can be found elsewhere on this site.
Advanced analyses are performed at Baseline Resolution,
Inc. in Houston, Texas, U. S. A. Baseline Resolution, Inc. and
StratoChem Services are now working together to provide petroleum
analytical services for Africa and the Middle East. Together we
are dedicated to providing the best quality geochemical data available.
We have the expertise and industry experience to provide clients
with comprehensive, cost effective, analytical and interpretive
services for exploration and production programs. As industry
leaders we have the capability to provide specialty analyses such
as Isotope Analyses, High Resolution Mass Spectroscopy, Diamondoid
Analyses, API Gravity using Rock Eval 6 and processes for the
removal of Olefin-Based drilling muds.
StratoChem Services is also the representative of
Platte River Associates "BasinMod" Software and Geotrack
International Pty Ltd in North Africa and the Middle East. We
also represent WL Gore in Egypt.
The company offers a full line of analytical, interpretive and
basin modelling services in petroleum geochemistry. StratoChem
Services is also dedicated to the utilization of analytical automation
and computer application in the field of Geology and Geochemistry.
The inclusion of geochemical data into geological
studies can provide important information on the distribution
and effectiveness of oil and gas source beds, the time of petroleum
generation and migration, and the quantity and type of hydrocarbons
likely to be present. Geochemical data can also be used to determine
depositional environments, tectonic and sedimentary history and
is essential in quantitative basin modelling. Surface geochemical
studies reveal whether there is a good or poor chance of finding
oil or gas at depth. Production geochemistry can help guide oil
field development and enhanced recovery projects.
