As you may, or may not, know we are completing the construction of a second building that is adjacent to our current building. It is essentially the same size as our current facility. We hope to move into the new building in late March. We are all looking forward to spreading out and having a little more room soon. So, keep an eye open for an announcement in the spring for an open house. That's a great excuse to come to Cairo! :c)

In March we will have a booth at the Geo2010 conference being held in Manama, Bahrain. The conference is March 7 - 10. We will be sharing a booth with our partners from the States, OilTracers. Make sure you come by and say hello

On Sunday, March 14th, StratoChem Services will be hosting a one day training entitled, "Using Organic Petrography and Rock-Eval Pyrolysis to Evaluate Source Rock Richness, Quality, and Maturity". Anadarko Petroleum Corp. said Wednesday it is planning to drill 'a couple' of new wells the second half of this year in the Sierra Leone-Liberian Basin, in the deep waters of West Africa.


Dana Petroleum and GDF Suez have made a second gas discovery in the West El Burullus concession, offshore Nile Delta, Egypt. The Papyrus-1X well follows on from the successful WEB-1X discovery.


Libya's Tamoil is said to be considering becoming an investor in Polish oil producer Lotos. A report from Parkiet said Tamoil is working with Polish multimillionaire businessman Jan Kulczyk regarding the investment.


Epsilon Energy has announced the sale of Epsilon Energy Yemen to an unrelated third party purchaser for US$100,000, pending government of Yemen approval.


WesternZagros Resources has provided an update on the progress made at its Kurdamir-1 exploration well being drilled in the Kalar Bawanoor Block in Kurdistan. The Company is optimistic of testing oil from the Shiranish reservoir in this well and from the Oligocene reservoir on the flanks of the structure in a future well.


Abu Dhabi, the largest sheikhdom in the United Arab Emirates, aims to raise oil production from fields that haven’t been considered economically viable to maintain output at 1.8 million barrels a day from 2017.


Iran's oil minister announced on Saturday the discoveries of an oil field and a gas field, estimating the total value of their reserves at $85 billion.


Dubai’s newly discovered offshore oil field will enter production within a year and is expected to increase crude production by a 'noticeable percentage' once commercial operations starts.
