We continue to work on completing our new building. As we mentioned previously the new building is multi-storied, 5 stories, and will stand directly adjacent our current structure. Things are progressing nicely and hope to be finished by June 1

We have completed all the preparation and training to begin vitrinite preparation and visualization analyses. All we are waiting on now is the space. That will come with the completion of our new building.

Beginning Sunday April 18th, StratoChem Services will be hosting a 5 day training course entitled
"1-D Modelling Training Program". The course will cost $2,500 USD and will be presented by Mr. Doug Waples. For more information go to:

Enventure Global Technology announced the first successful commercial installation of its 8 x 9-5/8 in. MonoSET™ Openhole Clad (OHC) System. The system was installed for Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) in a deviated well located in the Fahud Field to stabilize a shale section.

Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries' (OPEC) crude oil production output averaged 29.22 million barrels per day (b/d) in July, up 100,000 b/d from an estimated 29.12 million b/d in June, according to a just-released Platts survey of OPEC and oil industry officials and analysts.

BP has pushed back the start of its exploration for oil in deep water offshore Libya for an unspecified period of time to ensure all its plans are in order, but the company and the Libyan authorities insist the drilling will be safe.BP said it will proceed with its first deep water well offshore Libya some time later this year.

Australian-listed Beach Energy is stepping up its exploration work in Egypt, saying today it plans to spend up to US$33 million in the country's onshore play over the next two years. Beach said it had sealed a deal with the Kuwait Energy Company which will see it take a 22% stake in the Abu Sennan concession in the Western Desert and a 15% interest in the Mesaha Area concession, effective from 1 January this year.

Rwe Dea will be investing 3.6 billion US-Dollars in the field development in the North Alexandria and West Mediterranean Deep Water concessions – the biggest single investment for the company to date. Jointly the Egyptian Petroleum Minister Sameh Fahmy, the Egyptian state owned company EGPC and the operator BP, RWE Dea signed the agreement which had been approved by the Egyptian Cabinet and the Egyptian parliament, in Cairo.
